FARM SCHOOL
Welcome to the Wren Haven Farm School! As a Charlotte Mason homeschooling family, we want to bring the knowledge and handwork we have learned throughout our 11 years teaching our children. We have led co-ops and taught children and adult classes on foraging, watercolor painting, basket-making, fiber arts, nature journaling, Bible history and much more!
Every month we will try to vary the topics and handicrafts we offer. Some classes you might expect are: nature journaling and foraging, medicine making (teas, salves, tinctures), natural plant dyeing and paint making, animal husbandry, wool processing, spinning, knitting, crochet, basket making, and a bee keeping class in the spring and fall. Our classes range from one hour to three hours depending on the time needed to thoroughly cover our subject matter and complete our handicrafts. Most classes will be ages 8 and above, because of the attention to details and thoroughness of topics covered. Parents may drop off or choose to stay and learn with their children. At times parents might be called on to help out. Typical classes size will be 10 children or less so we can make sure to give one on one attention to each child as they learn a new skill or subject. The prices of the course will depend on the supplies needed and time allotted to the lesson.
